We were thrilled to meet a major milestone today!  We served our 20,000th meal during our regular Tuesday meal service for those in need at Neil Good Day Center!  Everyone was grateful for the nutritious and delicious brown bag lunches and we look forward to continuing to be a small part of the solution to end homelessness in our community.

March 27th

We were happy to make this Easter Sunday and extra special occasion for the youth who participate in the Doors of Change "Taking Music & Art to the Streets" program.  A nutritious meal of barbecue chicken, mac-n-cheese, salad and rolls was topped off with an Easter Candy bundle of joy!


A special thank you to Rich and Debra for taking time out of their holiday weekend to be of service to those in need in our community! 




march 23rd

The students at SDSU Tenochca Residence Hall organized a wonderful Light Up The LOVE (TM) event to be of service to those in need in their community.  These students took time out of their busy mid-term week to prepare 170 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that we were happy to deliver to the clients at Neil Good Day Center and the residents at Alpha Square.  The nutritious and delicious sandwiches were appreciated by all! 

A special thank you to Courtney, Miya, Kyle, Allison, Kyrie, Mireille, Todd, Erica, Kirstin and Alexa (lead organizer) for being of service to those in need in our community!  You are an inspiration and bring hope that, working together, we will be able to put an end hunger and homelessness here in San Diego.

We were grateful for the beautiful Sunday afternoon and happy to be of service to those participate in the Doors of Change Taking Music & Art to the Streets program.  The hearty and nutritious meal lasagna, salad, rolls and dessert was appreciated by everyone!  "This is the best lasagna I have ever tasted!", shared one grateful diner as he came back for seconds.

After a couple of cold and rainy days, everyone at the Neil Good Day Center was grateful for the sunshine and for the nutritious and delicious brown bag lunches prepared by the students from the Chapultepec residence hall at SDSU.


A special thanks to Alecia, Lisa, Tiffany, Anthony, Dang, Leilani, Tara, Adriana, Abby, Michaela, Rory, Taylor T, Ilse, Ashley, Blake, Taylor B, Titus, Austin, Johan, Tae, and Aaron for preparing the delicious sandwiches.  Thanks to Cristal Vieyra for organizing this wonderful group of amazing freshman who care about those in need in their community and Light Up The LOVE (TM) each and every day!

Loving Spoonfuls was happy provide a delicious and nutritious meal for the residents at PATH Connections Housing.  The amazing students from Western Michigan University who chose this service opportunity as part of their Alternative Spring Break Program made this meal service an extra special Light Up The LOVE (TM) event!  Everyone worked hard to help prepare and serve a hearty and healthy meal of BBQ chicken, yams, kale, salad, bread and desert!

 A heartfelt thank you to Sophie Macaluso, Allison Stevens, AJ Ennis, Rachel Braden, Jamie Lesson, Jessica Bennett, Courtney Bennett and Kevin Loorey for coming all they way from Kalamazoo, MI to be of service to those in need in our community!  You are a true inspiration for us all!
