Providing Meals for those in Need

december 17th


Christmas dinner came early for those attending the Doors of Change Taking Music & Art to the Streets program. A group of 30 homeless youth enjoyed chicken with rice and fresh veggies along with several delicious desserts. A special thank you to Dr. Ethel Sims and Pastor Thomas Sims & their group for creating a Light Up The LOVE - TM evening for those in need.



december 10th


Heartfelt Helpings was happy to provide another nutritious and delicious meal for the residents in transitional housing at PATH San Diego.  

Special thanks to April, Laney, Dave and Laurel for helping to prepare tonight’s dinner and to National Charity League, Inc. Del Sol Chapter volunteers Erin, Sophie, McKenna,Michelle for serving.  Thanks to Mr. and Ms. Santa aka Anke and Casey for making this holiday dinner a special event!

Heartfelt Helpings prepared and served a nutritious meal for the homeless youth that participate in the Doors of Change Taking Music and Art to the Streets Program.  

We had a very large group this Sunday and the delicious meal was appreciated by all.  Special thanks to Rich and Debra for all that they do to create Light Up The LOVE - TM moments for those in need!

Heartfelt Helpings and the residents from San Diego State University Housing at Zura Hall partner to prepare 200 brown bag lunches for our homeless neighbors that are at the Alpha Project campground in downtown San Diego.

Special thanks to Caitlin Donahue for organizing this wonderful event at Zura Hall and to volunteers Sam, Guillermo, Katelyn, Breven, Michelangelo, MarcAnthony, James Chris, Aallyam, Reece, David, Mccaeley, Ryan, Veronica, Keona, Alyssa, and Olivia for taking time out of their busy semester to create a Light Up The LOVE - TM moment for those in need during this holiday season.



december 6th


Heartfelt Helpings was honored to be invited to attend the The California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics - San Diego annual Holiday Party this evening.  In addition to enjoying a wonderful meal, we spent some time talking about the issues that the homeless and food insecure face in our community each and every day and what we can do to make a difference.

Special thanks to Brenda and Joshua for reaching out to organize this event and THANK YOU to the CAND-San Diego membership for the wonderful donations!  Heartfelt Helpings will put them to good use helping those in need during this holiday season!

Heartfelt Helpings and Kids for Peace work together to create 215 brown bags lunches for our homeless neighbors that reside at the Alpha Project campground in downtown San Diego.Special thanks to Sonia for organizing this event.
